Where is everyone staying? We're probably going to stay at Treasure Island again. It's kind of becoming our second home. I really liked having the convention at Sands. It was nice to be able to just cross the street and you were there.

I think we’ll stay at Harrah’s again this year. It’s a real easy to walk out the back door and catch the Monorail to the Las Vas Vegas convention. I.B Washincars the convention is at the Las Vegas convention center not the Sand Expo hall. The Las Vegas convention center is down next to the old Hilton, now the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino

Put your glasses on old man, I know where the convention is. That's why I was speaking of Sands in past tense. It's a shame that the monorail was executed so badly. Unless you are staying at a hotel with a stop, it's pretty much useless.

I also would vote on the sands. The convention center always has a couple more shows on at the same time, and super busy. The center is super expensive for food also. A lot more walking than at the sands. I see the speaker is a basketball coach, and the sessions are like how to combat social media. I think I just talked myself out of going. The southwest convention later this month in Texas has a Kleen rite party the night before and cheaper costs to get in , and Karl Rove is the speaker- arguably better or worse than the ica speaker.
I think it may be better to support the local groups as compared to the Ica.

Just to clarify for some: Here is the current Sands Expo: https://www.google.com/maps/place/S...65,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x1f9bff65965de358

On the past tense Sands: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sands_Hotel_and_Casino

I am by no means an expert on Vegas but I did spend almost a week back n forth between the Venetian & the Sands Expo about Dec 1st of 2007 so I thought some clarification could be helpful.

If you are clarifying where it is NOT, you are spot-on.

The convention is at Las Vegas Convention Center, on Paradise near Desert Inn Rd. It is next door to the Westgate (formerly Hilton, labeled as LVH on the google map).

I hope Westgate has renovated the old Hilton. The last time I stayed there about four years ago it was a dump.

Just an FYI. The Riviera is within walking distance to the convention center. It is old and tired and will be closing for good May 4th. It may be a cheap option for those wanting to save a few bucks.

Is anyone interested in meeting up for dinner on first night of the convention like we’ve done in years past.

I've got a scheduling conflict or I would be there.

So Nashville is next year?
