2009 ICA Convention - Las Vegas

I was just talking to one of my Forum cronies and we were discussing Plane Fares and Hotels for the up coming ICA convention in Las Vegas on April 1st ? 4th. Is there anyone from the Forum who is planning on attending this year?

Yeah, I'm gonna be there, just booked my flight this evening. We are going to stay a few extra days. We'll be at Monte Carlo for five nights and then are going downtown for the last two. Will probably stay at the Golden Nugget for those.

Dear I.B.

Wouldn't telling us what airline, from where and what you paid be helpful?

We'll be there. Just got back from there last week, and going again in 10 days for a roofing convention. Stayed at Bellagio last week coz wife wanted to see the fountains. Staying at Mandalay Bay next week coz that's where the tradeshow is and I can eliminate rental car cost that way.

Will probably stay along the East side of the strip for the car wash show so we can ride the Monorail to the convention center.

Patrick, we spent $1300 for airfare (Southwest) , motel for 3 nights, and rental car. Next trip is only $450 for airfare (Southwest) and 2 nights at MB. Southwest has a daily 2 hour nonstop to/from Vegas, which makes it fairly painless.

I will be going. I got a great rate at the Hilton using my Hilton Honors AAA membership - $45 for the first two nights and $55 for the last night. I am flying Air Tran for $285 round trip.

There will be a forum party again this year, who will be attending that? It will probably be the first nite.

If I fly it will be on Allegiant air. $59 each way and they have specials on hotels. I won't need a hotel but check them out if they fly out of your airport.

Win free rooms at The Hilton!

I just got an e-mail from the ICA regarding a raffle for two free nights lodging during the show. They are giving away sixty of these. That's pretty good odds when you consider non-members and exhibitors are excluded. I already have plans to stay elsewhere, so that makes your odds even better. If you haven't decided on lodging or plan to stay at Hilton, get registered now. I copied these eligibility requirements from my e-mail,

"To be eligible for this raffle, by February 27, 2009 you must be a member of the International Carwash Association, have purchased an attendee registration for Car Care World Expo 2009 and have made a reservation at the Las Vegas Hilton within the dates specified above. Car Care World Expo exhibitors, non-members, the International Carwash Association's Board of Directors and staff, and their employees and families, are not eligible to win."

Get on the stick and get registered, now! This is a great deal. It's nice to see that the ICA is trying to make it easier to attend in these not so great times.

Oh yeah, put me down for two at the party, Bill.

I got a great package deal (I thought so anyway)...Round Trip air from Sarasota, Florida, 5 nights at LV Hilton... $ $650.00.

The cheapest I could find a room at LV Hilton online was $149 a night.

rph9168, how or where did you get $45 and $55 a night???

I went on line with the Hilton Honors program and the AAA rates were listed. I booked the room without a hitch.
