2000 psi?

Dean Taylor

Is anyone running this kind of pressure (2000 PSI) in their SS bays?

What are the Pro's and Con's of running the pressure this high?

It's to high and to dangerous for the customer. We don't go over about 1500 - 1600 psi and that can be dangerous.

I've seen truck washes run that pressure, but they use a 36" wand so it's almost impossible to spray yourself.

I see no pros, only cons. Increased risk of injury, damage to vehicle finishes, stupid kids writing their name in the concrete...

I would not use 2000psi in a self serve bay, too much power and someone or something will get hurt. I keep it at 1250, power feels good and you won't get hurt if you accidentally come across your body with it.

I've cut my hand cleaning buckets out when the wand slipped @ 1200 psi. I couldn't imagine 2000 psi...Too risky for self serve pressure. IMHO

I blasted a hole in the tip of my left index finger all the way to bone with 1700 PSI cleaning mud out of a bumper I bought from a junkyard.
