1ph to 3ph with VFDs

Hello, I’m new to the forum and the car wash industry. I’m looking at the potential purchase of a 4-bay SS without any equipment. The property only has 1ph service. Does anyone have experience running 3ph motors from a 1ph source using VFDs?

Stupid phone. You can buy VFD's that take 240 VAC Single Phase in and output 208 VAC Three phase.

Since you don't currently have any equipment though it would be easier to buy something like a GinSan Direct drive that can be powered with 240 VAC Single Phase. Then you don't have to fool with VFD's. If you are dead set on VFD's you will need to properly size them for the motors that you are going to run and will either need to program for your application or install and program a PLC to run them.
