I bought some of these https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/8257/FC105-S50MOGOD.html from 1000 bulbs and told the tech person I was going to retro fit some 400 watt HP sodium wall packs and he said they would work. I received them today and right on the box it says not to use in an enclosed fixture. So I was wondering if I could expect to have problems with the heat generated by these bulbs in the enclosed fixture?

I think those are the same ones I've been using. I have retro-fitted some old Hubble fixtures and have been getting 1.5 to 2 years out of the bulb. I really don't think you'll have a problem.

I use that 105 watt CFL bulb in my last remaining 175 watt wall pack. Works fine, been installed well over a year with no problems.

I did 14 of them in my Hubbels about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago no problems. Love them brighter light then I was getting from my metal halides.

SW Indiana melon fields.
I did about 80 Lithonia wall packs. No issues whatsoever, most are going on 4 years old. That enclosed fixture clause must be some CYA thing.
