    Wash Select/PDQ 4000 intermittent problem

Is the wash being triggered? Are you getting an error on the laserwash? If you get an entrance timeout error, then it could be that the ddors are failing to open. If the wash is not being triggered, then it is either an input problem on the laserwash, or and output from the ws2. I know you said...

    Run on error 4000

I highly doubt it is the pump contactor. The coils on the contactor are 24VAC. You are blowing a DC fuse. What I was suggesting in my earlier post, was that your under carriage was not coming on, because you had NO input from the under carriage eyes. The eyes had power, and could see each...

    Run on error 4000

If you are blowing the x30 fuse, then something in the x30-x37 is drawing excess amps, or a short. All of these are inputs, which are DC-. Once this fuse is blown, the controller will not be able to receive any of the inputs from x30 through x37. inputs : width measurement pulse.( picket...

    Run on error 4000

Have you checked your photo eyes in your Tbars yet? I am going to bet that the Stop eyes are creating a short. It could be the photo eye cables, the amplifier or the base, or connections in the j3 box. I am going to bet on the wires in the Tbars are dried, and possibly burnt from the heaters. I...

Laserwash 4000 waiting for eyes to clear

If you have an exit garage door, the exit door eye may not be "seeing" itself, and think a car is there. This needs to happen to reset machine if garage doors are present.

Laser 4000 soap tips and questions

The Dan Foss valves on your machine are 3/8". I have, and would use one of those. By using one of those, you would not have to stock a completely new item for back up parts. Just power the solenoid to open when the solution pump comes on. Just wire it to the coil for the solution pump. Easy peasy.

Laser 4000 soap tips and questions

You can plumb from the heater right to the starite pump, but if any of the Dan Foss valves leak, you will have issues. If any of the valves for presoak or foam polish leak, you will empty your soap buclets. if the poly or drying agent valves leak, you will empty the bucket, and overflow your...

Laser 4000 soap tips and questions

You can plumb the heater into the starite, but I would add a NC solenoid to the inlet of the pump. The solenoid would be wired to the solution pump contactor, so it opens when the pump turns on. this way, if any of the Dan Foss valves have a leak, you will not drain a soap bucket.

    LW4000 intermittent front impact

The only thing that can make the arch turn early, is too many pulses from the #30 prox, or an input from the left limit. I would not only check the prox switches, but would check the prox cables as well. ( they are pretty cheap) If it is only happening on a second pass of HP, I would inspect...

    Pdq laser 4000 heat

The VT and parking eyes get their power from the vtx box where the eyes and sonar run to. The heat is controlled by a thermostat on the bottom of the box. All of these heaters are 24 VAC. If the wires are there, and the thermostat is not working, you could just use the 24 VAC terminals and have...

    Pdq laser 4000 heat

Bridge heat wires will be number wire number 4 and 5 in the red layer of the festoon cable coming into the J3 box. Tbar heat will be wire numbers 9 and 10 from the yellow layer festoon coming into the J3 box. The Tbar heat is 24vac, no need to worry about polarity. For the bridge heat, 220v...

    Bridge axles 4000

The axle shafts are the same for a laserwash or a high velocity. The axle shafts for the driver's side bridge, and passenger's side bridge are different. One has two keyways, (gear box, and coupling), and one is coupling only. It sounds to me like you received two of the same parts, and it...

Help delaying car from entering till dryers shut off.

In your post you state T-bar eyes. If I assume that you have a laserwash or high velocity, you can add eyes to the dryers, and use them as exit door eyes, and this will accomplish what you want. If it is a PDQ, simply change the hardware seting, and possibly the bay length setting. If it is a...

    LW4000 didn't measure a corvette

The wheel well switch is the stop switch. On a unit with a treadle, it would be the stop pad/prox switch is sending an input. With VT, the stop eyes on the wall are not seeing each other. in both of these cases, the controller believes that there is a car in the bay. You either have a problem...

    LW4000 didn't measure a corvette

I would assume it was the front limit. The only thing that can cause the machine to turn early, is an input from the front eyes, or from the front limit.

    LW4000 didn't measure a corvette

The machine should measure both sides of the car. The ultrasonics need to be calibrated, and the width measurement will be set on the VT. Make sure that the abort zone is set properly on the VT, and that all inputs, ( left limit, right limit,....) are being received properly, as any error with...

LW4000 for free. Should I go for it?

With the chip number of 19b, you have the ability to run triple foam. You would need to change your hardware option number to add in the triple foam, but you will lose the foam polish. If you get, (I believe version 21), and add more output cards, you will have the ability to program foam polish...

Laserwash 4000 hi pressure/ low pressure

You could add a relay to cut power to the HP motor when the sealant is programmed. Simply take the output#35, and place that as the feed or "common" on the relay, and the from the NC output on the relay, to the coil on the HP motor starter coil. Use the output for sealant to energize your relay.
