I have had chronic problems with my two Fresh-N-Up vacuums bursting hoses just after the pumps on the fragrances over the past two years since installing them. They are in a climate that gets quite hot during the summer and I use the oil based fragrance. I have called IVS and of course they have...
I selected a Freylit EKOlit 200 for my almost closed loop touchless IBA.
It works great. It's been online for 2 years now in a HOT environment. Very low maintenance, rugged, great support and most important - reclaim water that doesn't smell.
Highly recommended.
Good luck.
Love it
Hi Tell,
I've had mine for a year and a half. Love it. My customers do too. I shopped around extensively and selected the XP because of its speed, capabilities, and knowledge of the manufacturer. Support from the Mfr has been great.
Your biggest issue will be getting a reputable rep...
Anybody find a decent surgical hose to use for the fragrance pumps on an IVS Fresh-N-up vacuum?
I have replaced mine a couple times and they are a big pain. I guess my location gets too hot for them (Hemet, Ca.) - I am hoping to find a higher temperature hose if somebody has any suggestions...
Hi Gohlman,
I have an XP here in Southern California. Now have more than 10,000 washes on it and a little over a year of service. No wand extend faults...
Not sure how much I actually save - I don't have a flow meter on my RO. Might be a good idea though. I put my reject right into the first tank of the reclaim system.
I have another one - customers actually look serious when putting quarter after quarter into my vacs and it isn't accepting them. They always say the thing is broken - I point to the sticker that says USE TOKENS ONLY that is actually over the top of the coin slot.
"You mean, they don't take...
I have an Oasis XP and am very happy with it. Did a LOT of homework and bought in to how they designed their system and it is indeed well thought out. I got it mainly for the speed, and it does a good job with the ability to offer lots of bells and whistles.
Heed the advice everyone says...
Freylit Reclaim
I know there are many horror stories about reclaim systems. I have heard it said numerous times that it is not a question of "if" your reclaim system goes down, but "when". Of course, any solid design will have backup systems in place for any potential failure point, but you...
My attendant called me a few months back to let me know that a car was struck by my Oasis IBA and asked what I wanted to do about it. Said the older lady was very nice about the whole thing and wasn't mad.
Upon review of the video, it clearly showed that she lurched forward about 4 feet half...
Oasis XP
I don't have many freezing issues in Southern California, but December volume was WAY down even with my new Oasis XP. It has been raining off and on for several weeks and temps approaching freezing at night - people just don't want to wash their car when there are waves of storms back...
Maybe you're a victem of the ole switcheroo
I have heard of the practice of using Rain-X for a while, putting the logos all over the place, and then replacing the Rain-X for some other (cheaper) product.
Clearly this is a deceptive practice, but that would explain why many have good results...
Contest
Most likely you will need to contest their assessment. A reclaim system should definately help you here, but you will need to push them. Their first response to you will be the maximum theoretical amount you could possibly produce. That covers their collective butts "just in case"...
Well... I didn't mean to trigger defensive shields and all that. My (short) comment was intended as a compliment. I just thought the whole thing started out with a concept that really made me think about the underlying meaning of what was said.
That's a great thing about this forum, we have...
