We have a Kondor KL2. I would say there is more servicing then other washes. We went with this wash as this is what our local rep was pushing. We really like the cleaning ability of the wash. Wish it could push more cars through in the winter time though, when very busy. If I had to buy another...
Make sure the wash is always presentable to the public. For maintenance check in the manuals for the equipment you have for servicing. If you weren't given any manuals or service intervals, the company of the equipment should be able to send you PDFs for them., otherwise they are usually on...
Do you have any pictures of the lot and the equipment being used? Where is the wash located? Why is the current owner selling the business? Big factor is the condition of the equipment you would be taking ownership of. Have to verify and make sure you aren't paying a premium for some one elses...
Eliminating quarters is definitely a big plus. Our kiosk only gives back dollar bills as change unlike our old Hamilton kiosk that gave quarters back as change. Eliminating quarters saved us alot of time.
We are in a smaller town where cash is still used commonly used. About 30 percent is still cash by us. We thought about going cashless when we installed a new kiosk two years ago, but keep coming back to giving the customer the option if they want it. Also big plus of still offering both is if...
Could you help educate me a bit, is there a technical term for mineral seal oil? I just checked the sds sheet for it as well and below are the ingredients the have listed for it? Hydrotreated (Petroleum) Distillate?
Water 2-Butoxy Ethanol Quaternary Ammonium Salt Hydrotreated (Petroleum) Distillate
Just saw that Kleenrite released their own line of ceramics under the Kleentrack line. Does anyone have any info on who is making it for them or the quality? Kind of curious of the quality of it as it is super cost effective compared to other companies offerings. We run simoniz which is over...
Has anyone tried either of these ceramics in their inbay wash? Once winter season ends we are adding a ceramic and retooling our wash, with a $2 upcharge for ceramics. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have used other simoniz and JBS products in the past but am new to the whole ceramic...
Waxman, thank you for all your help. We are running our ceramic at the very end after spot free rinse, with no other passes before blowers. The shine is definitely more noticeable after SPF but we have been noticing more water spots on vehicles after completely dry. Have you noticed and...
Thank you for the help. We will give it a shot and check on the results. Our top wash is currently $12 with the hot wax but with the ceramic we want to add a package above it for $14.
Waxman, is your ceramic going right before spot free rinse? or do you still run a beading agent after ceramic? We currently run in this order:
1. Low PS
2. High PS
3. Triple Foam
4. HP Rinse
5. Simoniz Hot Wax
6. Simoniz Seal and Shine
7. Bone Dry Drying agent
8. Spot Free Rinse
9. Dryers
Do you still apply a beading sealant after the ceramic or before? I know waxes would be before but not sure about a beading agent as we want to get the cars dry as possible.
Curious as to why you took out one of your Kondor's? We have enjoyed ours since putting it in except the wear items that need to be replaced ever so often.
Thank you for the suggestion, Have you found any good ceramics that are sold on kleenrite? We have been purchasing all our soaps through them for the last two years and have nothing but good things to say about them.
How fast are you using your ceramics? We live in the snowbelt so our one bay wash is usually pushing an average of 100 cars through a day during winter time.
I saw that simoniz has a ceramic sealant on kleenrite. Saw it was 225 for 5 gal. I just don't want to have to high of an upcharge for the product for the customer, as our area is very price conscious. Our wash prices are currently, $7,$10,$12
