I see KR has several different ones: “Glow Foam Polish”, “Glow Foam Wax”, and then “Glow Foam Ceramic Finish” (but that last one says it’s for automatics).
What’s the difference between the polish and the wax?
Yea, seems like high pH or low pH will be problematic for this type of triple foam system. The Simoniz UVP was previously recommended when I originally made this thread but isn’t that a low pH product...
Seems like polish would be safe since it is not low pH. Hard to know which one to try though. Anyone have pictures/videos of their triple foam that looks really good?
Thanks Greg! Our chemical manufacturer is Blue Coral / Armorall and I just looked at their offerings and I see Armorall makes several Polishes and Clear Coat polishes.
Anyone use these and have any opinions?
Bumping my old thread to ask for a bit more advice. After the help in this thread from a few years ago, I switched away from the “lo pH” product to a neutral product and my triple foam solenoids have been fine ever since.
But now I am basically just dispensing colored soap which is not good...
The saga continues. My local branch has twice now placed and order, and both times the dollar coins don’t get delivered. They have been ordering them the same way for me for years and all of a sudden they are having problems. They said they will call the rep on the phone tomorrow and ask what’s...
I talked to another branch who claims they can order them for me. I am hoping the first branch was misinformed, thinking the general coin shortage applied to all coins. Crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to get dollar coins next week otherwise I’ll be scrambling to switch to tokens.
My bank always orders the coins for me when I ask, and this is the first time I have heard they can’t get any.
I am using MicroCoin acceptors. Any particular token suggestions for those? I think my competitors use dollar coins but that might not be true for much longer if this is really true..
Anyone else experiencing a dollar coin shortage? I have had no problems the whole pandemic but just now my local bank said they are unable to get any dollar coins. Anyone else hearing this?
If I have to switch to tokens, what are the best ones to use? Hopefully something the same size as dollar...
@Tom Thumb and @slash007 both expressed interest. @Tom Thumb responded first, so if you want both I will send them to you. If you only want one then I will give the second one to @slash007.
No need to pay for them since I can’t guarantee they work, but covering shipping would be appreciated...
Cleaned off a shelf at the car wash and found these hoppers. I have different changers and have no use for them. No idea if they work or not but I would guess they do since they were rebuilt in 2015 and have been sitting on the shelf since then.
If anyone has a use for these please let me know...
I had a bank teller steal money from me once (actually probably more than once) by doing this. He took a handful of bills and put them under the counter. I knew how much it should have been and it was way short. I called him out on it and he magically “found” the rest. Never again.
I have a “key extractor” set that I have had good luck with several times. Different shapes and sizes that you stick in the lock and then pull the broken key piece back out.
I think that is the best plan. I’ll contact Cat and see if they will repair it under warranty and then rebuild it and keep it as a spare. If they won’t warranty it for some reason I’ll look into paying to get it repaired.
Anyone have any tips/tricks for cleaning the inside plastic on the MicroCoin acceptors? Once they are in use for a while the gunk from coins starts to coat the plastic walls and the coins get jammed more often. I have tried using electronic cleaner (to not damage the internals) but that didn’t...
Thanks! Makes sense.
As for the picture of the slight damage to the old head, would it be worth sending it to Cat to be repaired?
Now that I know the problem was caused by the old swing check valve I could try putting that old head back on and see if it works fine. The valves and seals were...
