Remodels are tough. It's not easy to get people to come try your "new" wash that did a crap job every other time they went there previously for years.
When you build new from the ground up, everybody wants to come try the "new" place, but when you are trying to resurrect an old wash that had a...
Cashless works fine in higher demographic areas. I wouldn't do it in lower demo areas.
I am building a new express that will be cashless, but it is in a high income coastal area. My other washes that are inland still get about 60% cash. As nice as it would be to stop dealing with cash at...
Costa sunglasses are polarized. When you view a screen with an anti-glare film on it through polarized glasses, the combo of the two blocks the screen from showing.
It's science.
Same things happens to me with gas pump screens.
Either remove the sunglasses or the anti-glare screen film.

Sounds like a bad idea. Being adjacent to a large high school is a negative. Those kids are not your customers, people avoid driving near high schools every morning and afternoon due to the traffic. Most high school kids make crappy employees too.
I don't see how count down would yield better revenue, as it caps the spend per customer. Count up allows them to spend more money if they choose. I have a $19 max on my crypto pay and it's hit quite often. You should have great results at $1 per minute.

My rotary switches only last about a year before they seize and become difficult to turn.
Been considering switching to buttons when I redo the boxes.
I have Sonny's, Macneil and Motor City in my tunnels. All are top level equipment providers, and all are completely capable of producing clean, shiny, dry cars.
That said, each has their unique pros and cons. And varying price points also.
Since it's your first wash, your distibutor is more...
Of course that happens. City planners can find obscure reasons to deny or insist on unreasonable demands to make you go away.
I was responding to the poster who said he wanted a "guarantee from the city" that they would not allow a competitor to open within 5 miles.
Or you could spend time and money getting the wash to do well, and after the lease is up, they say "Thank you very much". And now take everything and run it for themselves.
I have Cat pumps for all my bays, but I do have Arimitsu on my tunnel prep gun unit, and I hate the Arimitsu. Much higher maintenance than the Cat pumps The Arimitsu needs seals about every two years, but most aggravating is that is I've had several of them explode and throw a valve directly...
