I am using a Lorex NVR and a mix of Speco and Lorex cameras. As the Speco cameras fail I am replacing with Lorex.
I use 6 cameras, two on each side and two on the top. The two on the top are mounted so that one picks up the front of the car and the second picks up the back of the car. If...
I have purchased from car wash canopies twice. Both times it took many months longer to receive the product than was promised. The original canopies I ordered were good quality and well made. The second set of canopies has faded badly in a year. The owner promised to replace them but I...
There are as many opinions as car wash operators, you are welcome to use 50 cent tokens but I believe it is short sighted.
In my opinion,we should be using $1 increments. Quarters have little value in today's marketplace.
Make it easy for customers to spend money.
Whatever you do, get a...
The reason that some operators blend tokens is to prevent people from using the change machines to get change to use somewhere else while still not upsetting customers who may not want tokens. The couple tokens they get can be used on today's visit and they leave with money in their pocket...
The pre-auth change is done online. Mike sent me a PDF that shows the steps to take to change it. I can forward it to you if you would like.
Credit card statements have always read Nayax Car Wash for our VPOS. I don't know if that was because of the settings we used or the way Nayax set...
I have made a setting change to the Nayax VPOS and it no longer preauthorizes for the most expensive car wash. It simple authorizes for the price of the wash that they have chosen. Thanks to Mike for explaining how to do this.
That eliminates one of the items that bothered me. At this...
If there was an easy answer you would already have found it. My advice is this, when someone gives you a recommendation, ask them which equipment they have direct, hands on experience with.
The salesmen have a bias, that is OK. Many operators have experience with one or two brands...
I have been using Nayax on a WashSelect 2 for about 4 months. There are some trade offs but I was installing a used WS2 and it would have cost me a couple thousand dollars to upgrade modem and card readers.
Nayax has functioned very well. Their rates are very good. They now show "Nayax...
I have a Ryko Softgloss (about 10 years old) that is not spraying Presoak, brush lube or spot free. Triple foam is working.
What should I check?
Still trying to learn this machine.
Thanks
I went with Neoglide. I couldn't find a good reason to spend the extra money on Foambrite. It has only been 5 weeks but so far I am happy with Neoglide. No issues. I'm not concerned with durability because I had Neoglide in my tunnel and know it holds up.
I dont think the Neoglide is any...
The theory is that you may lose some money on these rare customers but it is more than offset by gains from customers who currently wash less frequently. If you sign up the customer who washes 1x per month and convert him to a member, you gain $168 per year in revenue at a 2x multiplier...
Is it jamming at the end of the chute? It could get bent and sometimes prevent the coins from falling. Are you dispensing quarters or dollar coins?
David
WashSelect 2? If you have the chute that the coin slides flat, they have a retrofit that allows the coins to roll instead. That has been more reliable for us. If you have the older style, clean that chute really well. Take it apart, get a good cleaner and scrub it. You can also apply a...
Our friction wash has always been priced higher. It is slower so it can't wash as many cars per hour, I believe the savings in water and chemistry are more than offset by additional repair cost. Our friction machines seem to have more wear parts than our touchfree machines. Just spent...
If you have tried all of the above, check the solenoids themselves.
I don't know what kind of solenoids you have for the soap and wax but I have had the rubber in them swell up over time. When the solenoid opened it didn't let enough product through. It took a little while to figure out...
I agree with Greg. High pH presoak and low pH brush lubricant/soap for the best results. The low pH is essential for getting a dryer car. This is what most tunnels do as well. If your presoak isn't making a difference, try a better presoak.

Worldpay has terrible service! Hopefully you never have a problem worse than getting locked out. That is the quickest thing they can resolve. I have had success in the past by emailing with my merchant ID and they reset it for me. Saves the time on the phone.
Last time I called to have...
I know this is an old thread... Does anyone have additional input on the Ryko foambrite vs Neoglide? Is there a good reason to spend the extra money on Foambrite from Ryko? (about $6000 more)
David
Good choice on the Ginsan doors. We have worked with them alot. Maybe too late but I definately recommend the push buttons over rotary. The push buttons from Ginsan have been trouble free for a long time.
The biggest issue for the coin drop will be the position on the door, as long as...
Thanks for the input! I added the check valves on the tank outlet. That appears to have solved the problem. I'll keep an eye out for the issue you mentioned MEP but I don't think that will be an issue.
