I bought one a couple of years ago this July. Worked great until the 1 year warranty expired. The switches are problematic and frequently the vacuum does not start. Customer service won't sell parts for field replacement. $150 to replace the hose w/switches, but if it's a poor design, what's...
Check out Genbook.com. Cost is reasonable and we get appts. at all hours of the day and especially night when the shop is closed. Chose the credit card capture mode and you won't have a problem with no shows.

Have you checked with your PDQ distributor for a refurbed unit. There are certainly technological benefits to going new if the site supports it but it's not cheap.
Was in Vegas and Wash World has an impressive looking replacement. Price was well in the 70s as I recall. Didn't price the Laser or...
We looked into the Goff door and discounted it when they advised that a copper heating loop be plumbed on the track.
Went with the Airlift XRS and have had no issues in four months of use. Fantastic door; great seal, no air infiltration on western exposure.
Cost was similar to competitors.
Eric,
I'm looking at two Navien ch240's to heat water for a six bay. My 30 yr old AO Smith is ready to go. Where did you find these for $1479? Did you do the install or what more did it cost for installation?
Thanks.

I've been thinking about installing an ambient air thermostat wired in series with the slab stat to increse the sensitivity. The thought is that the slab doesn't get heat if air temp is above freezing during the day. Most of the time the slab stat has to be set close to 38-40 to adequately...
Perhaps they could give them away and save storage costs as well!
At least there's a ten year supply waiting in the wings. They have worked extxremely well for us the last ten years and I'd hate to have to change.
PS-Link worked for me.
Has anyone found a source for durable American flags? The 6X10's that we use last less than a year. I've tried a couple of sources and a couple of fabrics with disappointing results. We fly them 24/7 unless the wind is really strong or gusty. Unfortunately, this size isn't warranteed.
Thanks.

Hot water rinse certainly is not necessary for 8-9 months in MA, but a warm water rinse in the dead of winter has merits.
We blend below freezing using the second output on our Weepmizer. It makes a huge difference in customer satisfaction with not a lot of expense

Yes, detailing builds traffic, but this arrangement has inherent risk to you and your business. How is the work sold? Does the customer assume that your employees are performing the work thereby holding you liable should damage occur? Should an employee get injured while there doing the detail...
Cobalt bits will drill SS without a problem. Check Northern Tool or Sears for a close quarter drill. Should fit inside your cabinet. Torch would be the last resort.
Good luck.

I've used dollars coins for ten years now. The Susan B's were a disaster for their similarity to the quarter. The gold color has helped to reduce confusion. My customers realize the convenience and time savings and most prefer them. They also give us the opportunity to accept the occasional...
That's a great customer. Do you have enough of a relationship with him to suggest that he file a claim with his insurance company and you cover the deductible. Yes, the door was in the wrong place, but he was behind the wheel and presumably in control. Some strategically placed cones should...
As part of our prep, every windshield gets "mopped" to ensure brows and bugs are completely removed. Recently, a regular customer returned to the wash after having had his car washed earlier in the day to "suggest" that we had scratched his windshield. He'd heard a thump when the attendant was...
There's nothing wrong with high standards and it only takes minimal "extra?" effort to get it right. We have similar issues to where nothing leaves the shop until I've signed off (obvious limitations). I'm going to increase the training program to include a technician's check list and stress the...
Thanks for the comments. Sounds like ShurVend is the way to go. The only reservation is the utilitarian look - not quite as refined as the others. Maybe that's a reasonable trade for reliability.
It looks like it's been a while since vending machines were last discussed so I'd appreciate some current comments.
I'm looking to add a through wall unit and get rid of all drop shelf vendors. Under consideration are Vend-It, ShurVend Half Pint and Raddatz LM30.
Feedback on any of these units...
Yes, they're plunger pumps, model 56W. Probably not worth the expense of sending out, so I may tackle one and see how it goes.
What are the attributes of Arimitsu?
Four of six of my 8 yr. old German made pumps have blown out oil seals in the last month. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is this a regular PM item. Only the pressure seals have been changed to date. Is it worhtwhile to rebuild?
Using another brand at different location and have not...
