My Laser 4000 could use some new foam on the arch. Will the blue foam used on the G-5 work on the 4000? I remember seeing it at the show and it seems the arch had an extra piece welded on to it that the foam was fastened to.
Mep, Your probably right as usual on this. One time in the past I had a pump making a new noise and I opened it up and one of the seal case was loose. When I put the pump together last week I tightened the seal case with the tee handle really tight.
Now I`m wondering if I should open it up and...
This pump is close to 20 years old and started pulsating. I`m currenly running 12 of these and I`ve had similar things happen to some of the other pumps but had never been into this one. I pulled the head and found one of the seals had gone bad, the head looked good, no wash out grooves. I...
Before you install the new brush, take a miniature screwdriver or a pocket knife and tap it in the slot where the wire goes. You want to open up the space just a little and then the little copper piece will come out real easy. I`ve been doing this a long time. An old trick I learned right here...
I used a Teel #2P019A 3/4 hp. I had this thing collecting dust in the basement. Take the motor and the procon out and bolt a short piece of 2x8 to the frame where the old pump was then bolt the Teel to the board hook up the wires and a short piece of hose. I feed mine with 130 degree water and...
I`ve used the ultra lean tips without diluting the product. The problem was keeping the tiny hole unclogged. They are really small. I`m not talking about trash in the product. Dilute it and go with the smaller diameter tips and hose. If you will get rid of that half inch hose in the product you...
Gator, your right on. Mine are over 20 years old. I`ve put some seals in and even had a head to wash out on one. They are quiet and just coasting at 1200psi, you can carry on a conversation in my pump room with the pumps running. I`ve been in some where you couldn`t. I`ve always thought I`d try...
My Hamilton autocashier will still take customers money after the spay arch has been hit and the machine is disabled. The read out will say car wash closed, but they won`t read that and will put their money in and loose it then call me. At that time I`m either on the road or trying to get my...
I learned the hard way about the procons on a Laser with hot water. PDQ didn`t put a Y-strainer after the pump and one failed and the veins in the pump came apart and sent trash into everything down stream. I now have a stra-rite with a Y-strainer after it.
It just does this occasionally, the last time was last Sunday. I had one fault where the spray arch wasn`t in home position and another spray arch hit while at home position (sometimes they leave before the spot free rinse comes on).
Thanks for the help.
I checked the X30 prox switch and it looked good, no scratches. The gap was about a 1/4 inch and I moved in to 1/8. I`m thinking I might should go ahead and replace it and the cable just to eliminate this from possibly being the problem. What do you think? I also opened J3 and looked for...
For the last couple of weeks the Laser has been shutting down due to the spray arch touching the passenger side of the car. So far there has been no vehicle damage. I have the virtual treadle and it seems to loose its memory. It`s doing it on spot fee rinse. Any help would be appreciated.
This would be just too complicated for my customers. One wash is a dollar to start (mostly hispanic) and the other is a buck fifty (middle to upper class). Well marked meters, display timers. Every week I get a couple of calls saying car-wash won`t start so I ask what are the number displayed on...
