Just got my statement from Worldpay and got whacked in December for a $199 "Discover Annual Fee" which was listed under "Other fees".
Did anyone else get same or similar charge?
Wyatt, just installed one Air Logic dryer as a test unit in one of my bays. Noticing that the wind tends to catch the boom and hose and swings them into the bay. Did you shim/cant the boom mount bracket so it will swing back against the bay wall after use?
I had some pre-loaded $3 wash cards made up for my SS. Mainly to hand out as promos and for goodwill when a machine eats someone's quarters or a wash function doesn't perform. They seem to be working fine and the customers appreciate them. I did not have the reward/reload function added to the...
While I don't carry, I've seen first hand what a shot of bear spray will do to a human. Not just a garden variety squirt can with mace. The stuff capable of stopping a charging grizz is much stronger, pepper based, and some are capable of shooting a targeted fog at a range of 30 feet. I was on a...
I've been curious about the pet wash idea, but I'm not sure it's a fit for my demographic. Most of the pets in my zip code are chained to the porch and paid to attack. I doubt that pit bull shampoo and blow dry are much of a priority.
Exactly. But I also think there's a connection between the rampant idiocy in our society and too many warning labels/signs. As a populous, we seemed to be much smarter back when we didn't try to stop people from bathing with their toaster, or sticking their head in a wood chipper. Now those...
I've got both the Crypto count up signs next to the meter box, and a sticker on the door that says "Press GREEN Button to stop credit card charges." Even with that I still get 4-5 customers per week driving off without hitting the stop button. Wiring in a stop function seems like a good idea...
I’ve thought about just keeping a loaded shotgun within reach in the pump room. Same as I do to defend my home. No carry license required and zero chance of missing the target.
By my tally about 2% of my paid business and 98% of my crime, abuse, and stupidity happens between 10pm and 6am. I've spent the better part of the past two weeks chasing down midnight trash, taco grease, and paint dumpers and I'm wondering if any SS operators are closing at night? Signs and...
My 7 bay SS had the old aluminum trash can tepees when I bought it and they were a constant pain in the a$$. Too much trash blown out of the slots and onto the parking lot, and they were a magnet for late-night treasure hunters. Plus too flimsy for any reliable locking system.

I'm thinking of using them strictly as gift cards, maybe $3-5 pre loaded. Give them away as promos, and occasionally to reimburse someone for a loss at the wash (if I can prove the actual loss).
Monday: power washed a massive paint dump. Tuesday: used oil pads to soak up an oil change in one of my pits. This morning: degreased a bay from a taco truck dumping his fry tank on me at 2am. All despite signs in every bay that say no paint, oil, or grease.
People suck.
Roz - any update on this issue? Does the program work well using them strictly as a git card? Not so much interested in the reload/reward functions if they're not working well.
