We have ours dissembled with the bearing out. We can't find a part number on it, so am checking with AutoZone to see exactly what type it would be. I looks to be off a old GM car.
We diagnosed the problem after lifting the wheels. The bearing are getting old and having too much resistance to let the wheels spin freely. Is this a bearing that can be found other places besides belanger? We wont get the bearings until this weekend so I want to minimize downtime.
We found the cause! Attached is a video. The drive wheel is spinning regular but the prox wheel is just sliding. When I turn the prox wheel by hand it seems to turn fun though? It looks like it isn't making good contact with the rail. Have you run in to this before?
You can see that they are wearing unevenly on one side to the point where one roller is only making a contact on a quarter of the rail. After looking in to it I believe the problem is the rollers aren't coming in good contact on the prox switches side that counts the teeth. We tested the Prox...
We operate a Kondor Kl2 at our location. We have been getting a Carriage Jam Fault the last day. After inspection we have determined that the rollers for the carriage aren't making good contact with the rails that they move on. Has anyone ran it to this before and if so, did it require replacing...
Ill be honest we are in a pretty cheap area in Wisconsin. So getting rid of the lower clear coats and hot waxes would really turn away a lot of our more price conscious customers... We give our standard clear coat on the 10 dollar wash. Hot wax on the 12. and ceramic on the 14, an none on our...
Curious as to how everyone has their wash passes set up? Also would you recommend we run our hot wax right before the ceramic, or is it good where we have it now? This is the order that our soap distributor set it up. We are using simoniz products, except for presoaks those are kleentrack. We...
What is your average wash time for your different packages? Our changeover time is pretty instant on ours how we have it set up. We never had any complaints of an area on the front or the back of a car that were still dirty where the arms come together. I guess we will agree to disagree haha
Curious as to why you like the KL1 to the KL2? We have a KL2 and the overall wash speed is greatly increased with the extra arm. We haven't found that much more maintenance either due to the extra arm.
Definitely agree with Greg Pack here. Lots of people are intrigued by getting in to the carwash business because they see all the glamor of it, and think they can "pop" in once a week to collect the money when in the reality it is much more demanding then this. I second that for a wash of this...
Our winters are our busiest time of the year. Unfortunately the Wisconsin winter was pretty poor this year with more rain than snow, so it was definitely slower this year. Very little salt put on the roads
