GinSan "The Ultiamte" 3-bay problems

Well.... If 2 of the 3 are messed up now. :) It could be that the other "working" GS is about to break?

I am not sure how the GS thing is setup. Do they cascade off each other? If so.... Maybe the one that "works" is actually broken? (If it is the first in the chain. Also if the float and weep are working correctly.)

Example: "working" bay 1, already replaced GS bay 2, bay 3 about to break
 
Bay #1 has worked like a champ, w/ zero issues. Bay #2 was first to mess up (failed GS-27D I was told), & was chattering to the point of throwing the breaker....Replaced GS, & it worked for 10 days.
Now, bay #3 is messed up (GS again, as told by my electrician). Bay #3 doesn't chatter, just nothing is working. It takes money, but doesn't register any time. or let anything "fire up" & run. Just accepts quarters......NOTHING else, at all, happens.
 
So bay 2 works bypassing the gs27 stilll?

What does bay 3 do if you bypass the gs27?

Does your pump stand look like the one in my pictures? Does your bay timer require a timer in the equipment room?
 
The pump comes on if you by pass the GS-27D on bays 2 & 3. The functions aren't working properly, but you can pump water, though not take money 7 & perform functions correctly.

My pumpstand looks like your image 1, except mine has same AB contactors as your image 4.
Your's appears to have the bays stacked, inside the pumpstand, in image 1 ? cause I see double, on top / below...
 
we're gonna try that tonight, or tomorrow night. My dilemma is, I'm a full time coach/teacher, & can never get there til after 5pm, or on weekends... :(
 
I am just looking off the pdf.... but this unit was confusing because of all the proprietary timers/items. The pdf is pretty helpful though. You should also try and find the pdfs for your timers. (Google is the easiest method.) Also printing them all off might help?

But if you bypass the GS-27D correctly.... your bay should work completely normal. It is not needed.

I believe.... (You need to check the wiring first! I could not find a pdf for the gs-27d.) To bypass the GS-27D correctly you need to connect all wires from term A and B together. Then connect all wires from 9 and 10 together. 9 should be 24v and your ER timer needs that 24v to work..... on term 1.
 
man...this is so confusing, but I think you are correct. I don't see why I need the GS-27D.

I'm gonna have to ask my electrician about this.
 
Now the GS27 does actually do things.... but it is just not a requirement. By removing the GS27 you might just be masking the issue?
Remember the functions are basically….. if any LP function is ON no weep in that bay. Low water cuts off all bays (this is good) and an one second delay for HP (this is good).

I have a picture of the wires that I would look for..... The circled wires in the top left I would figure out which bay these start at. I assume bay 1? These wires run from bay to bay connecting to the GS27D in each bay. There could be a problem with the first GS27D.... which is your Bay1. If Bay1 is the location where the wires start?

I illustrated how I think a bad GS-27D can be bypassed and power the ER timer also. Like color arrow wires together on the GS27. The arrow on the ER timer is to illustrate power.

SO, it looks like we could just eliminated the GS-27D all together? Is it too important, IYHO, to do that? I wonder if any other carwash owners have done this? Those things are $120/pop!!!
 
The main thing the GS-27D does is turn off the weep in that bay when a low-pressure function is selected, but the lines to that function will probably be frozen anyway unless they're in a heated trough, so it's pretty useless. I've pulled out hundreds of them to simplify equipment. Putting a regulator on the weep works just as well as the GS-27D.
 
No.... I would not purchase anymore if I already purchased 3 and I probably needed 3 more! LOL :)

First you have to rewire it correctly. Then the system will work normal. Like nothing changed. But you have to power your equipment room bay timer (GS401 in the picture).... which I believe is your problem now.

MEP1 can correct me if I am incorrect. But take the wires off where the red arrows are and put them together in a wire nut. Then put the blue arrow wires in a wire nut..... Done.

Ignore blue arrow on the GS-401.

Actually the easiest would be move red to green. Yellow to purple. (Or move B to A on the terminals.) Maybe you should just use the terminals not wire nuts if you are confused?
