Mud - My New Policy: Version 7.22

Worst weather we've had in my 12-years in the car wash business. El Nino brings us rain/snow every 2 or 3 days for a month now it seems. So now I'm happy to see even the mudders at the car wash, anybody, bring Bigfoot, I don't care. lol

My parking lot has been muddy for a month and I've kinda decided that's not the end of the world. It makes me not nearly as touchy when someone brings a muddy truck - heck, what difference is a little more mud gonna make?

Thinking of changing my readerboard sign:
NEW MUD POLICY
We'll take all ya got!

How many times a week you seeing a shrink? What meds are you on?
This is a drastic change in a very short time span for you.
Being in the self serv business since 1977, I've gone through all the same crap and decided it just wasn't worth the aggravation fighting the mudders.
A couple of years ago I posted a sign between 2 bays saying mudders must use these 2 bays only.
It works most of the time so I figured I'm ahead of the game. My blood pressure is lower now.

My post was a tongue-in-cheek effort to express my frustration with the weather. I still nurse an intense dislike of heavy mudders. :-)

Whew! You scared me for a minute there. I am very entertained by your belief that you can stop them. I have no life and need your posts to keep me going :D

LMAO! Hey, I'm here to entertain when possible.

I'm sure the locals are entertained by my ever-evolving mud policy signs as well. Heck, I'm probably the source of some office pools.

red i just looked up your wx on my ipods wx application, hard to believe that if i drove 1210 mi south its only 33 degrees outside. Not much nicer than my location. I was thinking we should all go on mini vacations and visit each other. If you came to fargo, you probably would go home thinking it doesn't suck as bad as Fargo. I would probably get so upset with all the mudders I'd be in jail.
Or as a pilot we could go flying and forget that we even own a wash. you should see the moods the wife can get in when we get no sun for a month, or it snows for 4 days. I think alot of people up here are medicated for depression due to our weather, but it's probably the same everywhere

The local dirt track had a monster truck night last year. In the morning there were 5 or 6 monster trucks lined up to get in my SS. They were all staying in the hotel next door. Bigfoot was there and spent $40 washing his truck, so I turned the meter on for him so that he could rinse the bay. Those guys left the place spotless. I wish the local wannabe monster truckers were half as considerate.

Predicting snow here in Atlanta today. Airlines have cancelled many flights and many schools closed. Expecting about 2-3 inches.

lol, you can have all the mudders from my wash! I am giving out a rose to anyone who gets my top wash this weekend, I want the place to look spotless.

Any that are left over go to my wife, I hope they all get used up, because I don't want to set a precedent.

This is the first time in 18 years I was sad to see deer season end. With business dropping over the past 2 years I'll put up with it as long as they are pumping the money in. We had 2-3 inches of snow in central Alabama and I've got 500 miles of dirt road in the county it will be a mud bath tomorrow, bring it on.

In the end there is a reward for tolerating the cruddy weather. Friday we broke our cars-thru-the-IBAs by 9 cars, and Saturday we broke that by 58 cars.
