Do you have a drive up ATM on your property?

Tried searching for ATM threads but didn't find any. Does anyone have a drive up ATM on their car wash property? If so, has it proven to be profitable? Have you had any security problems with it? Do's & don'ts? We have a site that I believe would be a good candidate for one. There are no other drive ups in the immediate area. There are two walk up machines within a mile that I see plenty of people pull up, get out and use. We are in a sketchy area, so I would think staying in your car would be a plus.

If you have one, what kind of fee do you charge and how many transactions per day do you get. Thanks.

I looked at a wash that had an ATM on site before I bought this one. The ATM was owned by the bank, and they showed a rental income on it of $1000/month. Seemed like a pretty good deal to me. I talked to several banks about putting one at the wash that I bought, but couldn't find anyone that was interested with my location. Hope this helps.

Atm

I have a through the wall ATM right beside my Bill changers. I do about 150 transactions a month at $1.75 ea.
The real income is from customers that take out a twenty and put it directly in my ATM.....this amount of car wash income can not be measured, however I would guess that more than 50% of my ATM customers used it because they needed money for the wash. Lets assume that 75 customers all spent my minimum of $3 at the wash because of the access to the cash. Thats $225 plus $262.50 for a total of just under $500 per month....thats just under 6k a year......I am sure my numbers are lowballed as well. I paid 5k for a really good machine and it was well worth the investment. I would not go without.

A stand alone drive up machine is very expensive and may not be valid. I would focus on a through the wall machine to service your immediate customers....
Just my 2 cents.

I have this scenario, but not $1000 a month. I was considering my own machine when the bank approached me. It's been a real good deal as I get money for rent and since I don't have CC card acceptance in my bays (working on it), people can get cash from the ATM, then change, then wash. Also my Unitec WSII doesn't take bank cards, only credit, so once again, people can get cash from the ATM if they don't want to use the CC card.

Thanks for the responses guys. I have a few more questions for you. Coincarwash, what brand of machine did you buy and what denomination does it dispense? What does your bill changer dispense? Our car wash gives change back in $1 Tokens, therefore I figured we would probably need to dispense $10's. We accept 20's in our changers, but don't get a lot.

I have a Qualtex WeatherMaster through the wall ATM. Do a search on Google to find info. I dispense twentys, but you can do tens if you want. I have a friend that dispenses tens in his ATM. Great machine, well made and very small in size.
