Does anyone have manual for old style (2000) Monorail Tempest Vacuum. Need to know how to program the two 8-position dip switches on the control card

There never really was a manual for those vacuums, just sheet of paper. I vaguely remember those timers, they were terrible. One bank was for the number of coins to start and the other bank was for the amount of time per coin. The timers were manufactured by Monorail. Most of those timers when bad were replaced by a standard vacuum timer when they went bad because the cost to get them repair by Monorail was more than a new timer. Your best bet would be to replace the timer with a newer model and add a mercury relay to stop and stop the motors. Is this vac the old Tempest that looked like R2D2, with the sideways European coin acceptor

Yes, it's the old style with lighted dome, timer and sideways coin acceptor

Is it this one? IMG_2123.jpeg
It may be time for a new timer if you can’t figure it out. The dip switches may not be making contact with the corresponding circuits inside the timer.
