I don’t know what timer model I have. I just hooked it up how the old one was. The blue wire coming from 20. And the other going with the black common.
These were both newer types. I’ve talked to Hamilton, cryptopay and a few distributors. The handheld will not work. Tried two and neither would power on
It’s a strange issue. Today I’m going to swap some parts from a spare.
The EIC was not plugged into the distribution pan. The plug was tucked away hidden. I don’t know why this was needed or why the last owner unplugged it. It has always been dependable during my 4 years of ownership.
I’m thinking about unplugging it just in case.
A few times after I was finally up and running, it would say “purchase complete “ as if it’s clocking more than one swipe. I powered it off for 30 seconds. Hopefully that gets it.
Does anyone have a list of key settings for these? I may have messed something up when desperation set in and started pushing buttons.
24hrs of a wash being out of service will make a guy crazy. You know? $5000/month wash payment in a small town makes every day count.

The display is what talks to the swiper. You absolutely need it if you want to use Cryptopay. The gold line plus got the small screen so yes that wont work. What credit card reader is currently on your good line plus? Why do you want to change it?
Yes thats what they told me, idk somekind of insert reader. Why? Because im adding crypto to all my bays and vacs, why would i want that one to be different.
Not that you have to worry about it because you can’t do it but for one most importantly you would lose hosted solutions and two every customer will see a $10 pre auth charge instead of the wash price they selected which leads to plenty of phone calls and bad reviews.
What cant i do?
Put cryptopay on a gold line plus. You have an ingenico reader most likely now which is a good reader. The newer ID Techs seem to be hit or miss.

Isn’t that a standard goldline? Yes that will work with no problem. The gold line plus was the one with a like 4"x4" display which is why I said it would not work but now that I think about it maybe if you covered the hole with the lexan it might work. Did you replace the big display? I cant find anything on it so they might not even make it anymore. See attached.

Seriously though you should consider having that pay station properly mounted so you don’t get a call one day that its missing. I’m not being an ass when I say this just looking out for you but I have never seen one installed so terribly. I would fix that sooner than later. Good luck.
