Kleen-Rite vs Amazon

Has anyone tried the hose or gun available from Aurora car store on Amazon. 100 ft of hose from Kleen rite $300 from Aurora $100. Unfortunately Aurora shortest hose is 25 ft. The hose seems just as good. The gun may be to flimsy for self service use but maybe not. Definitely a lot cheaper and no shipping. I get my swivels from Amazon, much cheaper.

Maybe try the gun and see how it is. But what are you going to do with a 25 foot hp hose? High-pressure hose is 15 feet in car washing.

Which swivels are you buying and how has the reliability been? How long do they last before leaking?

Please post a link of the 100ft hose from kleen rite thats $300. I also wouldn't call a swivel much cheaper until you use it and see how long it lasts.

On our foam brush I use the KR #SWV38 swivel, they seem to work well.

On our High Pressure gun I use the KR #SWV500 ball bearing swivel. I am not real satisfied in the longevity of the ball bearing swivel. After about 6 months or so the look like this

Same.
We used both but now just use the KR #SWV38 swivel for HP and foamy brush.
We even tried a batch of these a long time ago and saw no noticeable difference in longevity or performance.
I've had both swivels last for as little as a couple of days or as long as 24 months, the variable seems to be if they get some sort of random abuse.
When they get that wobble or start leaking with the low-pressure presoak, they get replaced.

Check your swivels and see if they work under high pressure. I just discovered I have a bunch from Kleen rite that don't swivel under pressure.
I thought I was the only one that had this issue. Kleenrite and fluid controls brands of the same style - the ball bearing swivel. We never had this issue with the older ones. May try the smc ones next, one of the washes we bought came with some of them and they seem to work good and no leaks so far. Tried mosmatic in one bay a while back, wasn't that impressed with the longevity we got out of it, about 6 months in a busy bay.

Crap, I was just about to buy ten mosmatics I've had decent luck out of their MXF, maybe I will just buy those and some brass couplings

The SMC (KR part # SW0245) is the ones that I have that no longer swivel under pressure. I noticed it the other day and replaced it with a brand new one and it didn't swivel either. I'll just buy some nipples and use them on foam brushes and foam guns.

We used the mosmatic at the gun, so wear and tear would be higher, but we have been getting longer life out of other brands of cheaper swivels in the same or busier bays, not worth the premium IMO. This is a sample size of 1, so probably not a fair assessment either.

Those are the SMC ones that we inherited that are working well. I was going to get the MxF ones to try at the gun.
