Has anyone successfully done this? I heard glycol isn’t good for them but I don’t understand why? Also the constant run can also be bad for them? Thoughts?

Some of us have done this without major issues. Your state may require an ASME certified boiler, though. Boilers are so much more expensive, but they are built heavier. Takagi appears to be one of the few water heaters that allow alcohol to run through them and still be covered under warranty.

Thank you for the links. I have read on this forum before that you can, but a plumber assured me it was a bad idea because they aren’t meant to run constantly or have glycol in them. FWIW I planned to put 2 navien 199btu in for a 6 bay ss. Our coldest night of the year is probably only mid teens.
