I own a self care wash in Kentucky. Someone has drilled out the center lock
on a 7.5 inch steel vault door. I have tried to use Allen key without any success of opening. Looking for suggestions before calling locksmith. Greatly appreciate any feedback.
Can you get the allen key on the bolt that rotates the vault pins? If so and it still won’t budge (try impact guns), you might be in for a new vault door and cement work.

It sounds to me like the genius who drilled the lock out also drilled though the lock and drilled out the plate that the Allen wrench fits into. If this is the case you’ve got a challenge on your hands. Sometimes you can get a large screwdriver to bite the disc that the locking pins are mounted on or sometimes you can get a large EZ out on the disc. Whatever you do don’t hammer on or use an impact gun on the vault head. If you bend the disc that the that the locks pins are on, you’ll really have a problem. You want to turn the disc counterclockwise. The vault head guts are available to repair the vault head. Worse case scenario you’re going to have to cut out the vault head. Calling a locksmith isn’t going to help you.
