We have four older Doyle vacs that take quarters only. We are considering going to a card only system. We use Cryptopay for card purchases. Wondering if anyone has made such a conversion, and what was required?

I think to answer your question everyone would need to know what timers you have on the vacs. With that said, I believe CrytoPay can emulate the pulses for just about any timer.

Are you sure you have the LED-3 timers? You need to replace the LED-3 timer with a LED-7 timer.
Why is that? Ive never done one but ive heard all you have to do is install a separate transformer to power the swiper.
If he's already got a LED-3 timer he's got a 24 volt transformer. The LED-3 timers are obsolete and they aren't supported any more. The LED-7 has all the necessary inputs for the credit card reader. I personally wouldn't install a card swipe, but would install Tap reader.
I had a guy install some on his dixmor led 3 a while ago. They were Doyle vacs. Im not sure what type of transformer he had but apparently it wasn't enough to power the timer and swiper. He installed a separate transformer or maybe he installed a bigger one I cant really remember to get everything to work.
So regardless tap/swipe and that timer being obsolete without support which ive never needed with a dixmor timer.
The OP should be able to hook up cryptopay to it right as long as he's doing count down?
