Are the results in?Due to the old man's rant I ordered a 1/4" hose from Kleen rite with 3/8" ends. I will try to make a comparison between the two shortly.

The 1/4" WB is still sitting in my office! Are the results in?
KR part # | HA124WBL0606 12' ft 1/4" single braid hose with 3/8" MPE | BOMP90089 mosmatic comfort hose 3500mm |
length | 12' | 11.5' |
weight | 2.16 lbs | .98 lbs |
low pressure changeover time | 10.5 seconds | 10.5 seconds |
pressure at nozzle | 940psi | 935 psi |
cost | $26.81 + 2.14 for each hose guard | $37.62 |
What do you use to measure the PSI at the tip in the bay?OK, here ya go Nick-same gun and bay for changeover and pressure tests to keep things consistent. Bottom line, essentially the same performance as the comfort hose. The 1/4" WB does feel slightly clunkier than then mosmatic, but still much better than a 3/8"
I'd say the 1/4" is worth a shot, especially for those concerned with durability or theft. I'm gonna get my wife to give me an assessment.

Thank you Greg. Great assessment. Let us know what the wife thinks. I think the 1/4" route is going to be better for my situation. I won't have to worry about someone cutting it and even if it's rare I won't have to worry about it kinking and stopping the weep in the winter. I did order a mosmatic hose just to try though. Wish they came in more sizes. I use 15' and 17' hoses in my bays and they come in 14' and 16'. I suppose if I like them I can make my 1 ft swivel saver hose a foot longer to make up for the difference. I have a trigger gun and barrel. At the end I have a 1/8" street tee, then a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter that I have a pressure gauge on. I have a 2506 nozzle on the end. I use that to get close to 1000 psi at the bay with the trigger pulled. This ensures bay to bay consistency. What do you use to measure the PSI at the tip in the bay?
I have always wanted to make one of those but never seem to get to it. I'm sure it will take a whopping five minutes so I really have no excuse. Here it is:View attachment 13670
