Foam brush stains

Some color foam brush soaps stain no matter what you do. Some will only stain if the water isn't soft. Have you checked it?

You could always switch to a non-color soap.

Yes my water is soft we check monthly. I have used kleen rites fb and jbs and now I’m using Heiden Industries soaps which are great but still stain my concrete...

If the staining bothers you maybe you should switch to a colorless FB soap. i used to use Armor All Cherry White. It was a white foam with a strong cherry scent.
Generally, I don't like using colored soaps because, to me anyway, it doesn't seem to make much sense to apply color to something that you are trying to clean. I do use green tire cleaner and inject blue foam detergent into my presoak but after that i prefer white colors.
I am using JBS pink foam brush detergent. The pick color seems to turn white after about 10-15 minutes of being exposed to sunlight.

I use a mix of simoniz correct powder and simoniz foam additive in my foam brush. It foams white. Great cleaning power, too. No color, no scent.

I had the same issue, even worse when people used my then pink foaming brush soap. I switched to no-dye soap, comes out pure white and I no longer get calls about the soap staining boats, clothes, shoes, etc. Sure, color is neat, but white is a color too.

I always thought scents were more appealing than color. Just find a white soap with a strong cherry or lemon scent and the customer appeal will still be there.

Hi all. I'm new (12 months ) to the car wash business. Yesterday, I had an a**hole customer call and tell me that the foam brush had stained his boat, his feet, and his hands all blue. Long story short, I told him it's just soap and it would come off, but there was no reasoning with him. He was livid. I saw on my cameras this morning that he took pictures of his boat, his hands, & his feet. I'm sure he's going to go to a lawyer to file a claim of some sort. Has anyone ever experience this? How did you handle it?
** I am using JBS blue bubble gum** -- will be considering switching to a colorless foam brush soap.

I avoid the blue FB because I got one complaint about staining 1 guys hand blue.
I’ve been using JBS Pink foam detergent for years without any issues/complaints
Yes, it’s a triple foam product that I use for FB with a pink tip. It lasts a long timeIMG_0981.jpeg

Thank you Eric. Really appreciate the feedback. ----- As far as a lawsuit, should I even be worried about him pursing this? My wife said he called back and said he might get "sick" from this and then hung up.

If it staining ones hands and shoes you're using it way to strong. Dial it back a couple of tips it should be a pale blue. I stopped using colored soaps years because of the staining issues. I use white JBS Fonic wash for both High pressure soap and Foam brush. I works perfect, the customers don't care what color it is. If he keeps bitching about the staining on his boat wash with a mild bleach solution and it the staining will go away, sun light will also make it go away. the reason it stained on his boat is because the gel coat of the boat is oxidized.

Thank you Randy. I am changing to a smaller tip right now.

How is the show, color, and scent when using this as FB?
Great vibrant color that doesn’t stain. It actually turns white several minutes after coming out of the brush.
I’m desensitized to the smell but every once in a while I get a whiff. It’s seems to be a mix of strawberry and cherry. Not too strong. My wife would complain to me if it was too strong or unpleasant. She hates my trifoam in the Razors. She calls it Unicorn Vomit. That stuff does smell a little like Amoxicillin.
I use a pink tip (the second leanest) but could go to a purple tip (the leanest). I think I had couple issues early on with the purple tip getting clogged from some debris. The purple tip is VERY small.
I did have a complaint when I used the Blue version of the pink soap.
Lastly, when I get this on my hands it mostly washes off and disappears in a few hours. I remember 30 years ago having to go to a formal event with blue, pink and yellow stained hands after fixing the trifoam at the tunnel I was managing.
