Time for some maintenance. My Xmas bear not feeling it. Guess it’s time for the crew to climb down into the pit for some cleaning and to rap up some
Pressure washing.

questions: what is your favorite deodorizer that can be applied in the tunnel?

What chemical do you use for pressure washing your tunnel and equipment? 7ED6F987-559C-4398-9AD3-317F63C86624.jpeg1F3CB66D-0A31-49C5-906E-4FD39506883D.jpeg

Yep, bottom of those brushes look like they're 2 tone. Ha
Id also replace those ultra expensive MH bulbs. Those things kill your elec bill. Changed 32 @ my place & bill went down 35%!!!

Very true those bulbs are killer. The wraps in the front constantly need pressure washed. They hit the wheels and boy do we have some dirty vehicles. Those dang BMW and Mercedes rims are horrible.

Just counted and I have 42. Yikes! Gonna have to revisit replacing. What did you replace with?

With LED canopy lights. Found about 100 discontinued.
I think Randy , on here, gave me the website a couple yrs ago...

My completely unscientific rule of thumb that has served me well is that if I want an LED to replace an MH with the same light level or slightly better it needs to be about 1/3 the wattage of the MH it replaces.

Jarvis are awesome, but pay out the butt. MEPs are great, but i think you should spend a lil more & get @ least 100w.
I found nice discontinued 100w flat canopies to replace 400w MH,& that was extremely similar in brightness.
Earl's rule of 1-3 is a good rule. I used 1--4. But my MH may have been dimming just slightly. Mine definitely looks brighter, whiter,& cleaner now.

Part of why I plan on eventually having four lights per bay instead of two high wattage ones is so I can turn half of them off at midnight. I may have one of the remaining two on a motion sensor, and will most likely have the other two come on when someone starts the bay.

The ones I posted are 8200 lumens, so two of them should be brighter than a single 320 watt Scottsdale at just a bit over 1/3rd the wattage. That fits with your unscientific rule of thumb.
