On the micro coin QL - there is a pin on the lower part of the mounting bracket - that seems to come loose alot on my units. should that be loose? It seems to allow coins to jam for mis alignment when that pin comes loose. Is there any fix for this?

Very crappy bracket. I have tried looking for other brackets but no luck.

There are at least 2 versions of Microcoin brackets. Maybe you have the older one? Not sure when they changed. Typically the issues we have are alignment related. After removing a jam, we don't always get the acceptor reinstalled correctly. When we fix that, we won't have any problems until the next time they are removed.
We rarely remove ours. What is causing you to remove the acceptor weekly?

Hi David - Not removing weekly... just had my first coin jam in about 2 yrs and opened up the unit.. sliding that back bracket down I noticed that the pin at the bottom is loose.. to me that doesnt seem right? seems like the pin should be connected - I can get a picture and post.. maybe that is best to get answers

David, we've had this issue on a couple of my Micro Coin units. If you are talking about the small pin that holds the flat metal bracket on the back of the unit? What I do is get everything lined up correctly and then secure it using a zip tie wrapping it around the small pin. When I have to get access I just cut the zip tie and then put a new zip tie on to secure it again.

Here is a picture - notice in the 1st picture the pin looks to be ok.. and secure.. second picture the pin is loose.. is this a new style bracket or old style bracket? The units are less than 2 yrs old.. have found that this loose pin whatever it is called causes a ton of issues with alignment and jamming.

Is the lower bracket still secured to the front plate? I have little experience with these units, but I've heard/read that the lower bracket breaks easily.

The Bracket pulls off - to me it is merely a stabilizing bracket for alignment - I could be wrong.. I am sure Microcoin has a technical term for it. I have not had really any coin jams in 2 years that I have had them.. but when I do that pin is for sure un done ..

I just pinch it back in, I’ve had a bigger issue with the coin drop piece over the years, the first piece that the coins drop to mech. One good jam will cause the plastic notch piece not to hold as tight causing frequent jams. No problems with all mechs in 10 plus years, but have had to purchase nearly a dozen assemblies over the years for that one piece
