Ginsan sensortron issue

The sensortron in my shampooer vac is clicking off and on like the 24v power is pulsing but it is not. If I adjust the sensitivity toward reject it stops but will not accept quarters. I tried another coin also. Any known fixes or just replace?

Found a loose wire on the buss bar. It is fixed.

Me too. Actually all the screws on the terminal strip were loose. I guess caused by vibration from the pump mounted on the same panel.

On some equipment in our laundromat we went with tool-less & vibration proof style of PhoenixContact Terminals. I wonder if that could be a worthwhile extra for the manufacturers to provide in the car wash industry. Maybe they already do. Nothing should stop us from using some of those ourselves. In our plc driven dog wash we crimped wire ferrules on the ends of the wires before fastening to the screw terminals. Thanks for shedding light on the potential for basic screw terminals to sometimes loosen up at the most inopportune time.

Well I thought it was fixed but the problem persists intermittently. I seem to have a lot of trouble with sensortrons.

Had this issue . Fixed it by replacing sensortron.

Some of my sensortrons are 20+yrs old, they are work horses. Just replace it.

The NEW Sensortrons aren't as good as the older Sensortrons. They might look the same but the insides are different.

We have not changed the internals of the Sensortron in over 20 years. The change we made at that time was to go from through hole technology to surface mount.

Forgot all about that. That was 15 years ago or so. We just changed the output device. It's actually been more resilient than the shielded relay used previously. There is no serial number cuttoff, per se. Currentyly it would be 218712 but the policy is anything 15 years old or older is not repairable.

At any rate I ordered a new insert for the sensortron in question. If I have any that are newer than the above mentioned serial number, I would like to send them in for repair.
