Who Needs Soap

Fast and Clean
Yesterday, our one auto pre soak pump (or associated solenoid valve) failed. After fixing a different problem I ran our SUV through and of course got no soap. I was amazed--the SUV was spotless. Just shows how easy it is to wash off winter dirt and salt.

I had the opposite experience. I ran low last week and the foot valve peeked up above the soap level and the cars looked terrible!!! Luckily I caught it quickly and switched the drum out.

Ted,

Winter is the easiest season to wash, but I don't think you waited until is was dry and then checked it...you would have been disappointed.

Okay, I think we need a "I'm with Stupid" discussion group here. Since there isn't one, check this out.

A couple of years ago I replaced my hose from my hot water source to my Hydrominder with one of those auto-shutoff washing machine hoses. I did this "just in case" the hose broke or something of the sort. Busy busy day last Saturday and I get a call from my guy watching that wash for me (I was at my other one). He said "no soap!". I rushed over there only to find the soap mix tank empty and not refilling. Evidently the auto shut off valve tripped and prevented any soap mixing!!

Oh well! Refunded some money and all is well. Also decommissioned that hose and put one on that doesn't have an auto-shutoff valve in it.

Just shows that you really can shoot yourself in the foot, even with the safety on!
