Where to place dryer outside bay?

Where is the best location to position a dryer outside an acw bay? I measured a pickup truck at 17' long. My thinking is the dryer should be far enough outside the bay to allow the bay doors to close. I live in a cold climate and heat the bay. Is this the optimum location? Also does the cold weather cause any unforseen problems with the dryer outside?

I see most dryers that are mounted outside attached to the outside of the building or within 2-3ft from the exit.

Ours are mounted to a pipe arch and about 3' from the bay. No trouble with our doors. We just got it installed in April so can't say anything about cold weather yet.

Before you put the dryer outside the bay better check local noise restrictions. I have seen some that have been installed outside that had to be put inside to meet noise regulations. This is especially true if you are close to another business or dwellings.
