Whats the best new self serve equipment to install?

New to car wash business. Thinking about installing new backroom equipment in my self serve. Need recommendations on which equipment is good. Based in Florida. Thinking about Mark VII equipment (price is cheaper compared to Kleenrite or National Pride). Has anyone had any problems with Mark VII? Or any other equipment that would be better?

What's wrong with the equipment you have now. If you think by pulling in new equipment it's going to solve all of your problems your going to be mistaken, you'll always have problems at a car wash.

Its too old. having too many maintenance issues. Bays down all the time and I end up spending too much time fixing things. Equipment right now is about 18-20 years old. I am okay with small maintenance issues, but right now its just a lot of issues. almost everyday. Also, want to grow business so hopefully new equipment and new face lift will help.

We are using 23-year-old high pressure pump stands with very few issues. It sounds like your wash was not very well maintained. If you have to replace something that looks old on one bay and all the others look the same vintage, then replace all of them. Before long, you will forget about spending big money on new equipment. Make sure all the stuff the customers see and touch in the bays looks good.

We have a 20 year old mark 7 stand, it's built well, don't know any their new stuff, but mark 7 builds really good equipment overall in our experience.

Replacing all SS equipment because of repair issues s like replacing your car because the Tires, Battery, Braes or windshield wiper blades need replacement. Like Randy, Mine was decades old. I had replaced all Poly lines, some check Valves, Some solenoid valves, Many HP hoses, Motors and pumps over the decades. Getting new stuff is a lot more costly than proper repairs.

While I agree with Randy and Earl, and that's they way we have done it, fix the existing equipment. I can see the case for replacing it also. If the existing equipment is totally shot or hacked up beyond recognition, and you have to hire out all the repairs to a tech, it could be worth it to just replace and start with new stuff. A lot depends on how much you can and how much you want to fix yourself. Getting a tech to completely refurbish a pump stand and support equipment will get expensive quickly.
