What internet is everyone using and how many mbps for 16 4k cameras and 5 credit card readers?

Starlink. 80 mbps download and around 5-10 mbps upload. Running 14 cameras on a 16 channel unit. No issues at all when viewing HD at the unit. Some lag on HD remote but nothing to complain about. I went with Starlink for simplicity, self setup and not having to dig up my pavement for cable/fiber.

Verizon Business in a box

Stand alone router and receiver that uses cellular sim. Very reasonable compared to other services, easy to setup, and so far never goes down unlike cable.

I currently use Netgear nighthawk mobile hotspots with AT&T cell service at 5 locations. Works decent with 16 camera lorex systems and crypto pay.
Works has some lag, but the biggest reason for us to go on this route was each location had different service providers this keeps us uniform

Keep in mind it’s the *upload* speed you care about for viewing cameras remotely. Almost everyone focuses on download speed but in this case you want fast upload.
And the upload speed is usually a lot slower. We currently have 31 4K cameras (about to go to 38) with 300 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload at the wash, and it seems fine viewing remotely. If you have slow internet, you can lower the bit rate in your system to make the video smoother.

Comcast dedicated business fiber. We couldn’t afford outages with cable or blips in the service. With fiber they show up within a few hours with any outage. One time at 10 pm for a fiber connection repair.

Was it a challenge for you to setup the cameras for remote viewing? What system do you use? I have a storage facility that I use Starlink and can’t seem to figure out how to remote view because Starlink won’t allow port forwarding. I have the same system at my wash but with cellular internet and it works fine. I use InVid Cameras

I'm using the new series/ version 3 starlink it has an ethernet plug on the back of the router. Just plugged my camera hard drive into the router and followed the camera instructions of how to do remote viewing.
