We will be at the WCA Show in Las Vegas, Oct 5-7 showing our ShurVend RL small, in-the-wall, rear load vendor in Booth # 648. We have designed a new chasing LED light package that mounts on the vendor top and sides that will make the vendor very visible from each side and from the front so customers will be able to find the vendor easily. We have heard from operators that the wall-hugging design of the vendor keeps customers from noticing the vending machine and walk right by it looking for a place to buy car wash products.
We are following our own advice stated in the Blog on "The Sore Thumb Theory of Merchandizing". (See post below) Simply stated this "Theory" says that customers do not see and will not buy vending products unless the vendor is in the way or sticks out like a "Sore Thumb" in the vacuum area. It is expected that the chasing lights will make the vendor so obvious the customer will use it when the visual impulse is there. Come by to look and give us some feedback on what you see.
The Show will also feature new "Nuts & Bolts" educational sessions of one-half hour each on Tuesday & Wednesday of the Expo. ShurVend will be the last one at 1-1:30 PM, Wednesday. We will have all the electronics of a working mini-vendor with a working bill validator and coin changer. We will go through some basic instruction on how the vendor works and how to do some troubleshooting when the vendor gets contrary. We will allow about 15 minutes for specific questions that ShurVend owners or prospective owners might have so they can ask questions and the "mystery" of how the vendor works can be made understandable. The mini-vendor will also be in our booth all during the show so questions can be addressed at any time.
