Water Wizard Scrub

ted mcmeekin

Fast and Clean
My son just saw a new Water Wizard on semi with Hub Scrub . I knew they were working on it but did not realize it had gone into production. Anyone have any experience with it?

Ted

Yes - I have had the wheel scrub on my Fusion X for a bout a year now. It works great and really cleans the wheels with the high pressure nozzles inside the wheel scrub. They have had some problems with gear boxes from Baldor but this is supposdly fixed now. Let me know if any other questions.

Rob, Are you happy with your Fusion X ? Would you buy another one? I have a WW2.0 which I am very happy with, and am adding a second IBA. I am debating another WW, or a Fusion X or EFusion.

very happy with the Fusion X - it is an excellent friction machine and so far has proved very reliable and I would definately buy another. I am however basically using it as a friction machine so maybe should of saved some $$ and just bought the Efusion.

I replaced our old WW with a new 2.0 with scrubbers, it is less than three months old, both gear boxes have gone out and I am having trouble with them retracting after cleaning wheels. Working on it today, it quit yesterday because the scrubber did not retract, but our customers like them. Hope I can keep them working!

I know that Coleman has been working with Baldor to improve the reliability of the gear boxes used for the wheel scrub. I had the same problem that you are describing but seem to be much better since decreasing the air pressure on the wheel scrub. Do not exceed the recommended air pressure that they have for the wheel scrubs. I forget the exact PSI but it is marked on the gage inside the air pressure cabinet. Hope this helps.

Air pressure

We did decrease the pressure to 20 psi, but it was only at 25 psi to begin with, hope these two new motor gear boxes work.

Thanks

Use less than than 20 PSI. The Fusion X is an awesome cleaning machine we instaled one for a customer 10 months ago and the only problems we had was the wheel scrubs but their now fitted with the new baldor motor and is working perfectly. Its a great machine if anyone wants to see it in action drop me a line.

definitely want to use less than 20 psi and check your draw back pressure (it is a different regulator/gage), I have mine set about 40 psi. We had numerous gear box problems too and got most of them replaced. The issue is you have to spray lube the air cylinder shaft fairly often because we have had it stick out twice and someone hit them which is a WHOLE new mess.
