Water Softner's

[cleaning up mud]

If you have re beded your softner yourself, I want to know if you used sand or gravel at the bottom before you put in resin! Thanks

Gravel. Went to Home Depot and purchased some that was about the size that I dumped out.

You use gravel. Smaller softeners use one size (usually #20) flint, larger ones may have a coarse layer with a finer layer. Sand would restrict water flow.
