Washworld VS2 upgrade - anyone know anything?

I am considering getting the Washworld VS2 upgrade to the Washworld or Laserwash 4000. I have two Laserwash 4000's with floor treadles. I would love to get rid of the stupid treadles. My distributor wants to charge $16,000 plus installation. That seems kind of high. It does have new electronics and the new virtual attendant that is supposed to stop manual resets.

Does anyone have any experienc with this? Is it worth the money? Is my distributor overcharging?

I am affiliated with your PDQ distributor. While I don't really have anything to do with sales, I do know that they will only sell the Virtual Treadle as a kit and then bill time and material to install it. The kit runs around $4k ( ? ) per bay and will take roughly 10-12 hrs per bay of labor from us to install the components and start it up. A contracted licensed electrician will be responsible for connecting the components with conduits and pulling any wiring. I have finished a VT installation with about 9 hours labor when the electrician did a good job, and have taken up to 14-15hrs when the electrician didn't follow instuctions or mislabeled wiring.
You have to have an A-4000 or A-5000 CPU to be able to install a VT.

Your "quote" has to have more than 2 VT kits with rough installation costs.

That being said, you will be very happy to get rid of the maintenance of the mechanical treadles and your customers will be very happy with the ease of getting loaded for the wash.

I have experience with both the 4000, ,and washworld upgrades. PM me and I would be glad to discuss them with you.

I have experience with both the Laser and High Velocity Machines. I recently did the VS2 upgrade that you are inquiring about in Philly and can tell that it is well worth the cost. The Virtual Attendant works flawlessly, eliminating those manual resets and getting rid of the treadle is a great benefit. The price seems to be inline for this type of upgrade . If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
