Vac Issues

Hey Guys I need some help.

My Vacuum has issues. The coin mech was chattering and so I replaced it and then nothing worked. So then I replaced the timer and still noting is working. The coin mech accepts coins but the Vac. doesn't start. What do I do or look for?

We are getting power to timer & Coin Mech. Pictures are befroe and after. Do you think my motors are froze up?

Any help.....

I have never used one of those KR timers but I'm not sure it is wired correctly. Is there power coming out of the timer after inserting the $3.50 that it looks like it needs to start?

Pretty sure our town is right, need to double check your coin mech to timer wiring. And check if you are getting power out when the correct amount of coins dropped in

You must have a transformer and relay mounted in the dome area. When you put a voltmeter on terminals 1 and 3 do you have 24V?

I haven't changed anything in the dome area. But I do have 24 volts.

When I bought the place this vacuum never ran but the coin mech was chattering all the time. So I replaced the mech and still nothing is working. This why I changed the timer. I put the wires on the sam lugs as the old one. Still nothing.

The coin acceptor will chatter when the coil is bad or going bad. Drop enough coins in the coin acceptor to start the vacuum and check for 24 volts on the timer terminals 2 and 3. If you have 24 volts take the dome off and check for power up on top of the vacuum at whatever is controlling to motors, mercury relay or contactor. Check for 110 volts on the incoming and out going side of the relay. This is a basic control system.
