Using hp hose, for hydraulics

I bought 2 hoses for hp SS bay, $60 each, made of hydraulic hose.
Got same hose from Kleen-Rite for $12 but not a "hydraulic" hose...just normal Neptune hp 3k psi hose.
Can i use those same hp hoses for hydraulic hoses on my Pit Cleaner?

We used to use Neptune 3000 for hydraulic hose runs on the D&S 5000 units we installed. It was never an issue - if any of those hoses ever did break it was always because the outer jacket would crack and the steel reinforcement would rust.

The hydraulic hose that cost you $60 was probably double-braid which is definitely pricey.

Had to have those 2 hoses, cause great weather & couldn't wait 2 days for KR. But i was like dayummm that's higher than a Giraffe's Horn!!!

Is dbl braided that much better for hydraulic purposes?

It depends on the hydraulic pressure, the D&S units only ran a peak of about 800 so burst lines wasn't a concern. Double braided is usually 4500 to 6000 PSI working pressure.

Just make sure to either shrink wrap your hose fittings or spray it with clear enamel to slow down the rusting and corrosion if exposed to the elements.
