** Nothing political here, just some observations! **
I often see discussions regarding valuations for car washes, particularly self serve facilities, and compared to Australian valuations, the US valuations always look pretty low. I got wondering about how property prices in general compare between the two countries:
US Median Income - USD41, 535
US Median House Price - USD361,000
Ratio = 8.7:1
Australian Median Income - AUD62,868
Australian Median House Price - AUD752,110
Ratio = 12.0:1
As best as I can, I've tried to compare "apples to apples".
Looking at these figures, it sort of makes sense that we pay more for car washes in Australia, just because we have a situation where all property is more highly valued relative to median income.
