Turning New Customers Into Repeat Customers

I thought so.. I like how they break down the psychology of it.

Do you use it? Or have you used it? What were your results?
If not, why, or what else have you tried?

My only problem with it is giving out my email address. I get enough advertising and spam and junk so if they demand an email address I give a bogus one -kma@..... that stands for kiss my a$$ @ I would rather take part in a loyalty program where after a certain # of washes I can contact them for a freebie or would get it automatically. Just my thoughts. Incidently I am having the Sierra Controller installed at my wash (as recomended by Big Leo) and plan to experiment with loyalty and discount plans and etc.

catch-22...
"I would rather take part in a loyalty program where after a certain # of washes I can contact them for a freebie or would get it automatically."- how would you contact them? email? phone? how would you get their information?

sorry for my novice question- but what will the Sierra Controller do for you? What will it add to your business that you do not currently have now?

The sierra controller along with a unitec entry system, like a Wash Select II would allow you to have a loyalty program such as "every 10th wash is free). The system would use a magnetic stripe card and the customer would swipe the card before every wash selection. it doesn't do anything but keep track of it and issue the free wash when they get to the predetermined amount (say 10)...so you don't need someone there to punch their card or redeem the wash...all done automatically.

This is something I will be testing in the near future. I have already rolled out a 'subscription" program for my SS bays and IBA...and I plan on rolling out a "$1 off Wednesdays" that I will call "Wash Wednesdays". I may also roll out a Seniors Day on a Tuesday. Senior Customers will have a card and get a $1 off any wash on Tuesdays only. By rolling them out every six months or so, I don't bombard customers with all these new programs...it could get confusing.

BTW, you can make these that only one or all discounts can be combined.
