We have this problem in our truck bay. The previous owner built that bay with a wall mount boom and no hoop in that bay. Large vehicles with stacks or irregular shapes constantly fight the wall mount boom to wash the far side. Was going to install a hoop with a center boom, but began toying with a suspended cable and pully system in our shop tonight to allow the hp hose to travel along across the bay. The hose is weighted between the pulleys to help it retract in the stored state when out of use. Looks like it is a viable option, but was curious if anyone has ever tried something like this?

Interesting, we’re trying that same idea but going across the bay rather than down the bay. Actually considered just mounting a wand on each side of the bay, but wasn’t sure how to valve it so all the pressure was applied to the side in use and still allowing to weep in cold weather without being complicated and confusing to the user.
