Tire Shine and Armor All on Rims

Hello Everyone,

Using the Simoniz Tire Shiner and having an issue with it leaving chemical on rims that stick out as far as the tire does. I high pressured the pads and adjusted the PSI on each pad to about 19, with an injection of the chemical of 2 seconds per car. There are no rips in the pads, and were using Black Magic tire shine.

Any other suggestions to avoid this headache? I know these machines can be a real pain.

Thank you!

A water-based product that leaves dark satin finish would eliminate slop problem.

Otherwise, as long as you continue to use slime shine, I would say no that’s the nature of the beast.

Reason is black magic contains light mineral oil and silicone to create shine.

I don't see how it's possible to have a machine apply TS and cover 100% of all the different size tires and not touch the rim.

When it comes to "Shine" I don't think a "Satin Finish" offers the needed attraction.

Agree with all the above and that's why its nature of the beast - you need slime for shine and 100 percent is not possible.

try tuning the chemical down a bit. we run ours at 1 second per car to avoid over application, and we still end up with a bit of slop.
