Has there been any winter or spring issues of Self Serve Car Wash News sent out? Still looking for mine, anybody else ?

There’s an old saying — one of the keys to success is to "always leave ‘em wanting more.” And for so many of you for sooooo long to continue to "want more" of the SSCWN is appreciated beyond my ability to express. That said ...

This Spring, my wife and I came to a watershed realization. After 27 years, the time had come for me to pass this publication's torch. Long story short, age and some pesky, little health issues caught up to me. So the SSCWN now needs a "young Turk", or maybe a not so old Polack, or whoever has his (okay, maybe her) head and heart in the Right place to git 'er done ... and done Right.

I hope to find a "new and improved" torch bearer by this year's end. At this point, that anticipated Spring '11 issue is off-hold and is now a couple weeks away from the printer. I hope ya'll find it worth the wait. And then "come hell or high water" (or even both), there will be a Fall /Winter '11 issue from yours truly. But in 2012, you should see some chops other than mine in the "Editor's Corner" and new bylines on articles. Stay tuned to those upcoming issues and the Forum as things progress.

For now, let me close with the immortal words of Pancho Villa — "viva la SSCWN!" ;)

O'boy ,O'boy, I just ask when the spring issue will appear and you decide to retire your wit and humor how fair is that ,lol. All those on this forum site opposed to Jarred taking early retirement please weigh in. WE will miss you.

I've often thought, but never hoped for 'cause I like reading them............

I think the internet is doing to the SSCWN what the EE's are slowly doing to the SS washes.

Times change. Markets change. Years ago the SSCWN was the OLNY source if info for SS washes. The internet has changed that.

JJ, I am sorry to hear that, but I realize that time comes for us all.

SSCWN is pretty much the only CW publication I bother to actually read anymore.

That publication, and the SS industry just won't be the same when you retire.

From the bottom of my heart- thanks for what you do!
