Where is optimal placement of foaming wax application in tunnel.

We offer a "Carnauba" Wax application in the top wash package and a add on. We apply it before the final set of brushes, top and high sides. Then we fresh water rinse, rain repel, and finally spot free rinse.

We do ours before After DA but before setting arch. Before final set of brushes could lead to buildup on material.

I think it depends on the product. A carnauba wax like simoniz hot wax and shine has no mineral seal oil in it and if you put it on before your last mitter or set of brushes, that Helps with knocking the foam down and rinsing. I have not seen oil free products build up on cloth/foam. Then anything like a sealer, ccp, or drying agent that does contain mso can be put on after the last friction, but before the spot free rinse. I am sure different operators have different opinions on this but this has been my experience.
