Spot Free Question

I am working on my spot free upgrade for my new auto and need those of you with more knowledge about spot free systems sto answer a question for me. I am switching from a 1/3 HP production pump to a 1.5 HP production pump. My question is, can I feed that pump with 1/2" lines and just run it through my 2.5" membrane while I continue working on the remaining plumbing for my 4" membranes? I don't want to blow out my 2.5" membrane and I don't know what kind of pressure it can sustain...

You'll probably have to do something to control the pressure until you add the membranes. A quick solution would be to add tees and a ball valve to return some of the pump's output straight back to the inlet. Your membrane and housing can likely withstand the pressure but it will be a lot of stress on the pump.
