We have posted and published in magazine articles for many years promoting the premise that a well designed ShurVend Vending Center that is located in the vacuum area of a self serve car wash site can produce very close to the same monthly income as a single car wash bay or 2-4 (or more) vacuums including some Combos. One of our long time customers has shared some numbers which covers a period of 4 ½ fiscal year’s revenues at 3 different wash sites to prove that a ShurVend machine can produce very close to the same revenue as all the vacuums combined on a wash site.

The percentages below are for the combined revenues of 3 separate wash sites comparing the wash bays, vacuums, and vending covering the fiscal years 2006 through April, 2010 (4 ½ years).

2006 2007 2008 2009 2010

% Bays 76.0 78.1 79.7 78.4 76.6
% Vacuums 11.3 11.0 10.0 10.2 12.1
% Vending 12.7 10.9 10.3 11.3 11.2
100% 100% 100% 100% 100%

The vending machine this operator uses is the same in all locations; a High Security ShurVend “39” installed in the vacuum island area of each wash. How the vending percentage for fiscal 2010 will come out remains to be seen since this percentage is for the slower winter months with more than the normal rainy days. These numbers give one a good look at what revenues can be generated by a vending center that is well run, maintained, and located in the best location for vending on the wash site.

P.S.--The Forum software does not seem to post tables like this very well, so my apologies the difficulty in straight columns.
