ShurVend exhibited at the recent Car Care World Expo in Las Vegas with some serious concerns about the economy and how it would affect attitude of an expected smaller number of attendees at the show. We were pleasantly surprised with good traffic and the seriousness of the operators who dropped by our booth. Operators were there to make serious decisions about equipment and updating their wash sites.
As a result, ShurVend had the best show for sales and contacts in our history of exhibiting at any show. We were able to meet face to face with many that we have talked to but never seen. We also solved problems for our existing customers. Soooooooo, we are happily digging out from all the paperwork attached to sales contacts and shipping product as fast as we can. Our sincere thanks to our repeat customers for the visits to our booth and the confidence you have in our products.
We showed our new, small 18-selection vendor for the first time and were gratified by the comments made to us about its design. It has all the features of our full size machines and comes in front or rear loading models. A choice in bill validators, coin changers, token acceptance, and credit card capability is available to the operator.
A special thanks to all of our friends from Australia who came a long way again to say ?Hi? and look at our products. Over the years we have been blessed by sales of our vendors to operators there. Even closer to us, we add our special thanks to our neighbors in Canada who came by to talk and to look. We always appreciate these operators who bring a special challenge to us to solve the different problems that they have in their countries. We also had a couple from France that came to look at our product line, so this show really is a ?World Expo?.
From our perspective the economic picture is looking better for the industry and we hope many of you will ?refuse to participate in the economic slowdown?.
