Sensotron problem as well

I have replaced 2 new sensotrons in a bay due to them rejecting quarters. At first I thought it got too hot due to a heat strip being too close, I killed the heat and replaced with new sensotron, it worked while I was there, maybe two washes, so I thought it's done. Come back today and it's rejecting again. Coleman equipment. The one thing that scares the heck out of me is electronics. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

You can try increasing the sensitivity, just do it a little at a time or you might end up taking tokens and slugs. Make sure you don't have a 1964, 1972 or a Florida quarter in it for a sample.

The second one worked for about 10 quarters and then quit taking them. I will check the sensitivity and the quarter type, hopefully that's all it is. Thx for response and I'll post in a bit.

It was a 1965 quarter. I changed it anyway and turned down the sensitivity an 1/8 turn. All worked when I left, but then again it worked when i left before. Hopefully that is all. Thx for the help fellas.

I think I meant 1965 and 1974, I'll have to check. I keep one of each of those to run through the IDX acceptors when I program them so they don't get rejected. There's something different with the metal content that if you use one of those years for the sample it won't take other coins well.
