I am helping another owner with his wash on his 2HP 3Phase Sta-Rite Boost Pump seized up so we took it to a pump repair shop to see if we could get it fixed no luck the motor is toast as well as the impeller so he bit the bullet and bought a new one from Ryko, brought it back to the wash rewired it replumbed it went to test it and it too doesn't move you can feel the motor heat up but the shaft won't spin? rechecked the wiring all to be good contactor is turning on and no overloads are tripping water is going through the pump, could Ryko of given us a bad new pump? I need to get my hands on a voltmeter to test voltage.

Well I got my hands on a volt meter and found 2 of 3 30A fuses blown in the control cabinet so I will have replace all 3 to be on the safe side of things and hopefully it will work.

You can get the pump through Dultmeier sales for less than 1/2 the price. I keep a spare on on the shelf as they have a tendency to fail.

Boost pumps can be bought from a number of places, and quite a bit cheaper than Ryko, or other manufacturers for that matter. Try to get one with a three phase motor and as much stainless steel as possible. Other than normal age, the mainreason I see them fail is loosing prime and overheating.
